Grupo Alves Bandeira distributes hampers, toys, and gifts during “Solidarity Month”

Between December 16, 2024, and January 15, 2025, Grupo Alves Bandeira carried out the "Solidarity Month," a corporate social responsibility initiative that reaffirms the 100% Portuguese group's commitment to the communities in which it operates. This initiative, which extended beyond the Christmas season, involved various solidarity actions and saw strong engagement from the Group's employees.

Among the activities carried out, the most notable were the donation of solidarity products and hampers in partnership with institutions such as CASA and Cáritas, and the distribution of toys to children in collaboration with several Fire Brigades, the Portuguese Red Cross, and other solidarity associations. While the first action aimed to support families in vulnerable situations, the second brought moments of joy to children.

One of the highlights of "Solidarity Month" was the active participation of Grupo Alves Bandeira’s employees. From collecting goods to logistics and delivery of donations, employees were directly involved, demonstrating a strong sense of unity and solidarity. A remarkable example of this dedication was the action promoted by the Albi Solidarity Project, which mobilized the entire team to collect toys for underprivileged children. The massive adherence reflects the culture of social responsibility embedded in the DNA of Grupo Alves Bandeira.

According to Pedro Mascarenhas, Marketing Director of the Group, which celebrates 50 years of history this year, "Solidarity Month is a clear demonstration of how, as a company, we can make a difference in the communities we are part of. The involvement of our employees was essential to the success of these initiatives and reflects the Group's commitment to actively contributing to a more inclusive and supportive future.”

In addition to delivering goods and toys, "Solidarity Month" also included the organization and support of various solidarity initiatives and events, with a special mention of the Christmas Tour of the Albi Schools Project, where the mascot Albi dressed as Santa Claus.

With this initiative, Grupo Alves Bandeira once again demonstrates that the success of a company is not only measured by its financial results but also by the positive impact it generates in society.
