On December 18, Alves Bandeira inaugurated its new fuel station in Casal Novo, Quiaios, in the municipality of Figueira da Foz.

With the opening of the 6th station in this municipality and the 28th in the Coimbra district, the 100% Portuguese brand is now nearing 180 stations, a milestone expected to be surpassed by early 2025 with the opening of new locations not only in central Portugal but also in the northern and southern regions.

In a ceremony attended by clients, employees, partners, the press, and local entities, the highlight was the symbolic ribbon-cutting and the donation to the local firefighters. In a truly unique atmosphere, José Fialho, Retail Director of Alves Bandeira, presided over the opening of the new station and handed over a €500 check to the Figueira da Foz Volunteer Firefighters, represented by Vice President Paulo Duque.

In a year when Alves Bandeira began celebrating its 50th anniversary, this donation brings the total support provided to the Figueira da Foz Fire Brigade in 2024 to €10,500. It is worth recalling that the first and most significant donation of €10,000 was made in October during the "Insónia" show, where the ticket proceeds were entirely donated to this humanitarian association.

Paulo Duque, Vice President of the Firefighters, took the opportunity to express his gratitude and highlight the partnership between the two entities: "Our gratitude is immense. Alves Bandeira is a company with a strong local presence, just like us, and it helps us assist our citizens. It’s not a company we need to ask for help from—they take the initiative to give, and that further strengthens our appreciation.”

Operating daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, the new station accepts all available loyalty cards (AB Energia, AB Frota, Solred AB, AB Vantagem, and Pontos AB). It offers access to simple and premium fuels (Extreme+), as well as AdBlue and Green Diesel.

It’s also important to note that partial ISP recovery (Professional Diesel) for professional fleets will soon be available, pending approval from the Tax Authority.
